Creation vs. Evolution
This is and has been a touchy subject among most Christians, saying that we came from God and that we are the only thing He's created in the universe and that the earth and all of the creations are somewhere around 10,000 years old and that there is no room for improvement. Now, I am a Christian and believe that Heavenly Father has organized all things in, out, above, and below the earth. His work stretches throughout all of the universe. And, it is ignorant for believers in God to limit His handiwork, and to think so narrowly that we small things are all He's done in all of His eternal splendor. The scriptures have said, and not just the bible, that His creations are more than the sands of the sea, expansive, without number!! That doesn't just mean things within this earth. The bible indicates that there were stages of creating the earth, we don't really know God's timetable of a Day, probably Not a period of 24 hours like we have. He did not create the earth in 6 24 hour days. Is it possible that within one of these 6 days, or rather 6 periods of time, there were creations like dinosaurs, homopithicus, and other fossils that would fit in the time of millions of years old? And, perhaps man (adam and eve) were put on earth by God some million years after these other creations have been fossilized. These are just ideas that, just like everyone else, have been thought of. I am not throwing my beliefs on anyone, unlike evolutionist and most Christians saying with a narrow view point that they are unquestionably right.

Family
There are a lot of reasons to be thankful for your family. I grew up in an awesome family in Utah and we're still friends and like to talk and get together. I then married in the temple, and I learned what family is about. Our Heavenly Father intended for families to be together forever, parents, siblings, spouses, extended family and all. The Lord provided for Hid people Temples where we can be sealed together not just for this life, but for Eternity. That easy if you loved your family well enough. Some families do not get along and the idea of Eternity seems unreal and undesirable. That's why we have many different tools in the gosple of Jesus Christ to bring people together. Heavenly Father wants all of us to come back to Him as family unit. I love my wife and kids so much, and I'm grateful that we can go into the Lords temples to perform this act of love.

The Holy Ghost
While testimonies can come as dramatic manifestations, they usually do not. Sometimes people think they need to have an experience like Joseph Smith’s vision before they gain testimonies. If we have unrealistic expectations of how, when, or where answers come, we risk missing the answers which come as quiet, reassuring feelings and thoughts that most often come after our prayers, while we are doing something else. These answers can be equally convincing and powerful. The Holy Ghost can be our constent guide if we chose to listen quietly, and then follow the promptings. The spirit of God can speak to anyone in any language. He is the third member of the Godhead, and knows all truth. He leads us to know the truth of the gosple and the divine mission of Jesus Christ. Through the Holy Ghost we can know who the Savior is, and through the Savior we can know who we are.
repentance
It's been my experience that when I want to repent it takes a lot of energy to give up whatever behavior I'm trying to change. The scriptures say to abandon your sins, completely turn away. This can only happen when you've had a change of heart, and when you're humble enough to admit that you cannot change on your own. Repentance is one of the most basic principals of the church, and yet sometimes it's the hardest to do. It can be a heartfelt, gut wrenching, soul finding, discouraging, or uplifting experience. Though I am grateful that the Lord can forgive us as we sincerely repent. No matter the sin or shortcoming. I believe that anything that the Lord touches Lives.

Faith
What or Whom shall we have faith in? Having faith, to me, is taking a step into the unknown, but knowing that you're being watched after and cared for. When my wife and I took the trip up to Alaska, we had no idea what kind of challenges we would face. But we also didn't know the blessings to come just as much. Having faith in Christ is the same thing. We don't know everything, but we know enough to keep the commandments and do what is right, for the most part. We can also have faith in Christ that we can overcome our sins and the world. We can believe in Him, and we can also Believe Him when he say's we can be forgiven.
